“Count that day lost whose low descending sun views from thy hand no worthy action done.”

That’s a mouthful.

As a child, I took piano lessons for several years. I remember one day, sitting in the adjudicator’s waiting room with my teacher, waiting for my turn to be examined. I was very nervous; the room was extremely quiet–except for the ticking of a nearby clock. My teacher said something which I will likely never forget: Each minute that passes by is a minute you will never see again. Today’s quote reminds me of this. We need to use our minutes wisely. We will not get them back, cannot hold them in reserve, or go back and change them. What are you doing with your minutes? Don’t let the sun go down with your “worthy action[s]” undone.
